This year, hotels will take in a record $2.25 billion in revenue from fees and surcharges, 6 percent more than in 2013 and nearly double that of a decade ago, according to a new study. Nearly half of the increase can be attributed to new surcharges and hotels increasing the amounts of existing fees. (AP Photo/John Locher)

Spain's Adrian Mateos has three World Series of Poker bracelets on his resume, a win in the Main Event of the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe, and another in the 2015 EPT Grand Final Main Event. Mateos will be looking for another big win in late May as one of the betting favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com for the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl.

Mateos is set as the +1200 co-favorite (wager $100 to win $1,200) on the odds to win the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl at the sportsbooks, with the Texas Hold'em poker tournament set to take place from May 27-30 at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Super High Roller Bowl, a $300,000 buy-in event, will have a field of 48 players, with the first 30 selected via lottery on March 21. In order to enter the lottery, players had to put down a non-refundable deposit of $30,000. Mateos was the second player selected in the lottery.

The third player selected was Canadian Daniel Negreanu, and he's Mateos' co-favorite at +1200 on the betting lines for the tournament. Negreanu has six World Series of Poker bracelets to his name and is a member of the Poker Hall of Fame—inducted back in 2014.

Following the betting favorites on the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl odds are Stephen Chidwick at +1400, and Justin Bonomo, David Peters, Koray Aldemir, Nick Petrangelo, Sergio Aido, Nikita Bodyakovskiy, Ben Tollerene, Isaac Haxton, Cary Katz and Igor Kurganov, all at +1500 odds.

Bonomo, who won a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2014 in the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Six Handed event, finished in seventh place at the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl event to claim $600,000 in prize money for his troubles.

Phil Hellmuth, a 14-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, trails at +1600 odds to win the event in May; he finished fourth at the tournament in 2016. Set at +1800 odds are Erik Seidel, who finished third in 2016 and seventh in 2015, and Christoph Vogelsang, the defending tournament champion who walked away with the $6,000,000 top prize at last year's event.

Brian Rast, the 2015 tournament winner, is back at +3300 odds on the 2018 betting lines. Rast claimed a first-place prize of $7,525,000 in that inaugural edition of the tournament.

A satellite event will be held at the ARIA on May 26 that will produce two more entries to the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl. The other 16 members of the field will be chosen by the venue.
