Food distribution

The Armor of God Christian Church, 2648 Mill St., Winterville, will host a food distribution from 8-10 a.m. The church distributes food to the community every Thursday and Saturday at this time and location. Call 746-8403.

Veterans host bingo

The Veterans of Foreign Wars 7032 host bingo games every Saturday at the post headquarters, 1108 Mumford Road. Doors open at 5 p.m. and bingo begins at 7:30 p.m. Call 252-758-3251 for information between 10 a.m. and noon daily.

Safety for teen girls

An Empower Her! event, #Love&Lipgloss, will be held at 6 p.m. at the Jack Minges Boys and Girls Club, 621 W. Fire Tower Road, Winterville. Experts in the field of human trafficking and public safety will speak to middle school- and high school-age girls. The free event will also offer resources and information about issues that girls must deal with every day and will include youth-friendly entertainment and food. The event is sponsored by multiple agencies, including Daughters of Worth and ENC Stop Human Trafficking Now. Visit for more information.

The Greenville chapter of AARP will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the Pitt County Council on Aging, 4551 County Home Road. The guest speaker will be Barbara McLeod of REAL Crisis Intervention. The meeting is free and open to the public. Call Jack Hansel at 717-611.
